Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Coordination
- Assist in overseeing daily site operations and construction activities
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure work aligns with project specifications
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
- Support the Project Manager in achieving project milestones
2. Technical Implementation
- Interpret and apply engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Conduct site measurements and set out works as required
- Verify material quantities and ensure correct installation practices
- Assist in resolving technical challenges on-site
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards
- Monitor workmanship and material quality
- Maintain quality assurance documentation
- Ensure adherence to SANS standards and project specifications
4. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations
- Identify potential site hazards and report risks
- Promote a safe working environment for all personnel
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly site reports
- Maintain accurate project records and progress documentation
- Track quantities and assist with progress claims
- Support cost control and material tracking processes
